About the Job:
Looking for friendly, reliable, flexible, customer-service-minded servers, hosts, bartenders, and runners/bussers. Expanded Evanston restaurant with patio and private dining to open at the end of August. Full-time and part-time possible, evening and weekend availability is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a positive, hospitable, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers at all times.
Gain knowledge of all our products and services with the ability to answer questions accurately.
Acknowledge and resolve any customer issues and complaints.
Keep up with the side work, keep things clean and orderly.
Communicate and coordinate with customers, kitchen, and colleagues effectively.
Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
Provide customer and other feedback to the Soul & Smoke team.
Specific tasks are role-dependent.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stay calm and respectful under stress, and if customers are upset.
Able to walk/stand for most of the shift, and to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable using handheld POS system.
Experience working with customer support.
Quick problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to multitask and keep organized.
Ability to work in a team with different personalities.
Prior food experience and knowledge required.
Evening and weekend availability required.
Valid food handler and BASSET alcohol service certificates required within 30 days of starting employment.

Job Details:

JOB TYPE: Part-time or full-time, hourly positions.
PAY: Starting at $21+ per hour, which includes pooled revenue share of $4-6+ per hour.
